You will learn appropriate frameworks and tools for quantitative and qualitative approaches to research in Educational sciences. You will explore how to work with data, including how to use NVivo qualitative data analysis software and SPSS Statistics program, how to enter data into NVivo and SPSS, and how to prepare data for analysis. You will be introduced to various methods for analyzing qualitative data, such as content analysis, thematic analysis, and interpretative phenomenological analysis. You will learn about basic statistical terms such as mean, standard deviation, normal distribution, statistical significance, correlation coefficients etc. In addition, you will perform some basic statistical analysis using real data including descriptive statistics (mean values, standard deviation, skewness, kurtosis etc.) and conduct correlations and t-tests.
